November and December 2017

I was so busy last month that you get two months in one this time. As ever, I have been camping. In November, near Lakenheath. The tent was crispy in the morning!

I have been a very good dog this year - I even have a halo. Look at my neck and face glowing!

Being good has paid off. I went Christmas eve camping and Santa Paws came to visit - yippee.

I also enjoyed my very own doggy choc advent calendar (although I don't see why you can't eat them all at once)...

To add to all of the fun, we had lots of snow which was great fun to play in.

See you in 2018!

October 2017

A half term camping trip - yippee! Fuelling up for an exciting day.

There are ducks over there...(good choice of campsite)

I had an amazing time visiting Hunstanton beach. So many things to do including getting wet, chasing balls, getting wet again, chasing sea gulls, getting wet, going digging (and repeat).

After my trip away, I had fun at home too. In our house we have a "no ripping, shredding, peeling or skinning" rule. I didn't break these rules at all...(there was nothing about no destroying in that list)!
The down side to this fun was that the Hoover Monster came out from the cupboard under the stairs. I don't like it because it makes a lot of unnecessary noise, eats the pieces of my toys and is always one step in front of my human friend who has to chase it around to catch it and put it away.

Even if I make a "mess", how can you not love me!

Agility update: I am now Grade 4 and I have my silver warrant!

September 2017

Back to school this month...a bit of a change from week long camping adventures but I am assured that half term will be here soon!
I have had a massage this month and I am feeling much better - so much so that I have won into Grade 4 (plus had lots of other fast / clear rounds).

(I like my stripy red towel)!

I had a lot of fun at Hula's fete - I won waggiest tail and the spaniel sausage race!

Having a lot of energy takes a lot of work. Here I am demonstrating several ways to recharge.

Erm - who took this photo... (but it's a very comfy position and it had been a long, busy day)!

August 2017

WOW - why has no one ever told me about the Lake District before? It is a huge adventure playground for dogs! I found water and mountains and more water everywhere. Here I am camping at the highest hostel in England. I got a ride back down the mountain in a 4x4 with some farmers on a grouse shoot and even got to stand with the beaters and watch (I think I could have joined in as I am good at chasing things...).

Even the shops and bars are set up for dogs!

Did I mention there was water everywhere? I enjoyed many a bus trip (open top ones are best) to new swimming spots.

I put my dock jumping skills to good use and jumped in from the jetty (too quick for the camera)!

I also like the idea of water-agility.

It wasn't just water. I enjoyed my trip to Whinlatter Forest where there were lots of statues of animals from the Gruffalo. I thought they might like a spaniel-o
[editors note: when it was pointed out that statues remain perfectly still, the idea was quickly abandoned].

They also had a "Go Ape" - I didn't see why dogs shouldn't have their own version!

More adventures - this time climbing Helvellyn (it was very windy) then doing some scrambling over Striding Edge.

All these adventures made me hungry...

...and tired.

Sweet dreams ☺

July 2017

Guess what - July started with me getting wet again! This time I took a lovely friend along too. Delights included water, sand, digging, ice cream and a dead seal to roll in...

Next up, a trip to Rutland Water. I loved my view from the campsite.

I was briefly dry to go to agility in Matlock - 3rd place x2 and 6th out of 120 dogs.

Not dry any more! Had a whale of a time (haha) with a couple of my friends here.

Sleeping bag snuggles after all of my adventures this month.

June 2017

June started well with a day long walk following the River Ivel - plenty of places to go for a swim.

I also went for (another) beach trip! I'm always ready for a trip to Hunstanton...

Oh my goodness - a ball!

Well if ostriches can bury their heads in the sand, why can't I give it a go?

I have been a good boy and listened to the advice I was given about not winning into the next agility grade too quickly. So I got second place instead.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT - THE HUMANS HAVE ENTERED THE WATER! Regular readers may remember my comment last month about them not wanting to get wet feet. Then this happened! Loving my lake swims - it makes 30+ degree heat much more bearable.

All this fun was very tiring - taking a rest ready for July.
