November 2016

The weather may be getting colder but this has not stopped me having fun. Here I am on my most recent camping trip all snuggled in my sleeping bag.

It was a misty start to the morning (and a bit chilly) but there is no way I would miss out on a walk around Grafham Water.

It was fun walking and digging in the leaves.

Later on the sun came out - I enjoyed the view from the wall then headed for the water...

When there is so much water, it would be rude not to go in!

October 2016

I have had lots of fun this month including a canicross race, a return to ParkRun now it is cooler and not one but two camping trips.

My first was to Sacrewell - this campsite has something I like very much...water!

Trip two: Deepdale

Possibly my favourite campsite on earth as it is only five minutes to the local beach / a short car journey to Hunstanton. Even better, there was a ball waiting for me on our pitch!

The beach is this way - come on, quickly!

Enjoying swimming, chasing and digging!

Yes I did literally dig myself a rather large hole! (Luckily I managed to climb out again).

Do you like my Halloween costume? I am a Bog Monster complete with authentic aroma! Apparently this is not allowed in the tent...

September 2016

This month we went camping near Thetford, right next to Mildenhall airbase's runway. We walked round part of the perimeter track from the campsite but there were more exciting things to come.

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with 'T'...
TUNNELS! This can only mean one thing - this camping trip includes agility!

Come on small dogs. I know you only have short legs but can you try and run a bit faster? I have been waiting aaaaaages! (Editors note - the wait was only about 15 minutes).

It was hard to concentrate because the field is normally used for horses so there were lots of interesting (distracting) smells. Happy with this though.

My philosophy on life - run fast, chase a ball, wag your tail and have fun.

A walk in Thetford forest finished off our trip. I like forests very much as they contain squirrels (why do they have to run up the nearest tree)?

August 2016

Wow - I have had an amazing time during my week on the Isle of Wight. This photo pretty much sums up my latest camping trip. I have had so much fun!

Travelling to IoW as a VIP on a yacht belonging to a good friend (thanks for the life jacket).

Ready for my tea once the tent was put up - I think the bowl could be a bit bigger...

The beach, the beach, the beach - I love it here!

I didn't jump on the seat of the vintage bus - honest!

Yummy snacks...

Enjoying a frappucino as well - oh the high life!

Stop taking photos and just throw the ball - I can see it in your hand.

Loving the breeze on our boat trip round "The Needles".

Definitely enjoying this holiday!

Another new way of travelling - I enjoyed the open top bus (thank you to everyone who came to give me fuss and especially the lady who gave me her apple core).

Reading the signs and behaving myself on the catamaran crossing back to Portsmouth.

Travelling home in style (but no dogs allowed on the seats in first class...) It's been a long day involving a bus, a catamaran and several trains. I also learnt how to use escalators on the London Underground!

And now to have a long rest. I think I will have some lovely dreams featuring lots of sun, sea and sand :-)

July 2016

It has been a busy month. I have already been camping twice (and I hear a third trip is in the pipeline)! On my first outing, I walked alone the River Nene and was puzzled to see one of these...

My next trip was to Rutland Water - time for a swim!

And another one...it was very sunny so I definitely NEEDED a swim!

Now what shall I chase first - geese or sheep?

The actual reason for my camping trip was to go to an agility competition. Here I am waiting for my turn.

I relaxed on the picnic blanket between my classes. There were over 100 dogs in each of my categories so I was very pleased to get this.

I might just try for a few more rosettes if they result in yummy treats each time!

I am already looking forward to my next camping / agility trip especially if I can earn ice cream 🍦🐾

June 2016

It has been a weekend of extremes. It all started very well with a steeplechase win on Friday night...

however I was upset when my food ran out and even worse, The Monster Under The Stairs (aka the vacuum cleaner) held the new bag hostage delaying the start of my camping trip.

Wow - it was warm and sunny so we spent the whole day at Grafham Water exploring some of the lesser used tracks.
Not sure what that big bird in the background is.

Look at this stick just waiting to be thrown in (my tennis ball accidentally got left behind but I made do)!

Lots of walking and swimming followed by even more walking and swimming was great fun.

Erm - I can't really explain this one!

Why walk on the ground when the wall of the dam gives a far better view?

I went back to the campsite a very happy but tired boy where I had a lovely snuggle in my sleeping bag. Our little tent did a super job of keeping us dry and warm during a large rain / thunderstorm overnight so I was ready to go again in the morning. This time it was a trip to Priory Park before heading home (but not before another swim)!
